Our Training Programmes

Adventure Training run Training Courses throughout Northern Britian. We offer navigation courses at 3 Levels, Bronze Silver and Gold. NNAS Courses are a great way to learn to navigate. Bronze Courses teach you to use a map in compass using paths, whilst Gold is using the features of land form of a hill or mountain. Hill and Skills Courses take this to the next level where we look at safety in the Hills and Mountains and the skills and equipment required to get the most from trips out. There is an opportunity to add an expedition module to the course, here we teach about wild camping, what is good kit and where makes a good overnight stop.

 

These courses are great for any budding outdoor enthusiast or for those aiming to gain an NGB qualification from Mountain Training.

 

The skills course can also be added to a School or Youth Group Expedition.

Hill and Mountain Skills

We offer a choice of courses aimed at those wishing to improve on either their Hill Skills or Mountain Skills. Hill Skills take place in Northumberland, whilst Mountain Skills take place either the Lake District or The Scottish Highlands.

Climbing and Scrambling

Are you interested in taking your mountain trips to the next level, we offer tuition on climbing and scrambling. Courses take place in either the Lake District or Scottish Highlands.

Schools and Groups

Are you a School or Youth Group looking to improve your navigation skills or want to learn more about expeditions, How to organise and plan a trip as well as developing the skills to enjoy an expedition on foot, on 2 wheels or on water

Navigation Courses

We offer a choice of National Navigation Award Courses.

Course run in 3 different locations, here in Northumberland. The Lake District, near Ullswater and The Pentland on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
